I just replaced the cooling fan and switch last week and now this. It runs but the engine keeps running and doesn’t go into battery mode?

It's probably the hybrid battery. You need to read the codes but it is most likely the hybrid battery, 1 or more modules have failed.

I guess he meant the radiator cooling fan.

the only one with a switch is the cabin fan, but i may not be defining 'switch' correctly

I replaced the coolant fan by the radiator and it has a speed control switch. The car runs fine. It just won’t switch to hybrid mode it’s suppose to. I’ll know more tomorrow when I get it to the mechanic

Instead of switching to hybrid mode when in park it seems the gas engine goes to a lower idle. Seems like it could be a number of things. I bought the Prius c 2012 last April. Paid $7000 for it with 110,000 miles. Now it has 146,000

He said the problem is because I need to fix the abs brakes and that’s what is causing a cell not to charge.

Can you provide a video of the dash lights and the engine running?
