I think my MAP sensor is missing a part!

    I looked at a video at this site and among the videos was a short one on a MAP sensor.
    I swear I saw a orangish thing in the “cage” as I cleaned it during my EGR cooler, valve , manifold, MAS, and MAF.
    BTW, no codes. What is the likelihood of talking my way into a dealer replacement since it still on warranty.

    I’m still getting 33 MPG, California gas creates a 10% penalty, and that brings me to the mid to low 40’s, so seven - ten MPG are AWOL.
    I’m hoping to sell it asap.

    If you follow in this thread, you'll see the part numbers for both the with-doodad and without-doodad versions of the sensor.

    It turns out the version with the doodad was specified for some early Gen 3s. Without-doodad was for later, like your 2013.

    Not aware of a published explanation of the design change, but anyway, it sounds like you've got the right type for your car.
