Has anyone replaced the 12V battery with a VLRA AGM sealed battery, which is available from EBAY for $82 instead of $240 for an OEM battery? I recognize that the VLRA battery has gelled electrolyte and likely wouldn't work at very low temp, but I'm retired and don't go out if it's real cold.
I was thinking about putting batteries outside, but I'd prefer them to fit inside the unit. As a result, other chemistries with higher energy densities are being considered. I wondered if there was anything nearby that would still work.
