Need to disable hatch open indicator ‘08

    I got rear ended and now it always thinks the hatch is open so I can’t use the FAB to lock the doors because it thinks there’s a door open and the little red “door ajar” light on the dash is on.. I just need to disable it so it thinks it’s always closed. I can’t find the mechanism that tell it whether it’s open or closed… any help would be much appreciated. I can seem to find any info on the web. Thanx

    There is a 2-wire switch that's part of the tailgate latch. Pull the spare tire covers and the plastic trim panel around the latch. I think unplugging that switch should do the trick.
