I've seen a lot of threads comparing hybrid and electric modes using cost per mile. But are there other significant factors that should be considered when deciding which mode to drive in? For example, how costly is the wear on the ICE and/or battery?
My local service manager told me to not worry about wear & tear on the HV battery before the first 300,000 miles.
The battery can degrade over time used or not. I would try to maximize the use of the battery regardless of the cost. You save money and it's good for the environment. Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
