    Hi All,

First thread and already searched. I have the 2012 Japanese import Prius and found the bit of vacuum(maybe) line is not sealed or plugged.

What does the bit in the red circle do and should I plug it? Is it causing issue if not plugged?

    Thanks all for the help

That coolant tee was made, in some versions, with a white air-bleed valve there, which you could open to release air while filling the engine coolant.

Other versions of that tee are without the bleed valve.

If you had one of the with-valve versions and took the valve out, you would have a serious leak of red coolant there.

So I am guessing you simply have the without-valve version. Unless coolant is gushing out.

Pull that bit of hose off? As @ChapmanF says, it's likely the non-venting styling coupling. Venting style has a whilte plastic knurled cap you can unscrew, and a spigot for coolant to then flow.
