    Hello,

I think my next mod is going to be a coil spacer kit to get a little more clearance for dirt roads and snow. I see PriusOffroad.com has a kit listed at 1.5" of lift and PriusOverlanding.com has a kit listed at 2". Is there a consensus answer on which is the better kit? Are there other options I haven't seen yet? $300-$350 seems like a lot for a few pieces of machined metal so I wanted to explore all my options before making a decision.

    Thanks.

Aren't we kind of like Corolla struts I have to go look yeah I'm pretty sure we are they two bolts go through and grab the hub assembly and the spring and the top plate and the upper strut mount poke through the holes and the strut towers yeah I do believe you might be able to make an AE101 fully adjustable strut fit it's an aluminum thing I post a picture if I could I have a box full of them here instead of four they're completely adjustable gas aluminum struts these happen to be orange you can adjust the ride height adjust the tension on the spring pick from springs rates from silly soft to stupid ridiculously hard and all of it I just never mounted them they just sat here in a box I believe they could fit a lot of Japanese cars

The Ukraine war has disrupted the supply, but you still might be able to find hard rubber spacers for 1.5 inch lift from Russia that only cost $100ish for all four. You still might find them in stock online in Asia & SE Asia and sometimes US.

Are these the kind that lay in the bottom of the strut spring seat or do they just get stuck in between the springs?

Any particular reason to go with the PriusOffroad kit? The PriusOverlanding kit advertises an extra 0.5" of lift.

If I got a commission from PriusOffRoad I would recommend them too.

I can honestly say the following.

Priusoffroad does not pay me anything.

I just know who made the spacers first.

That's not really an option anymore. My point was that Russian has long been the primary supplier of a lift kit for Prius in Asia & SE Asia, which is where 2/3rds of the Human population is, so you may still find some last ones in inventory in that region if you look online.

Okay so just to be clear today I have an '08 Prius completely apart and when I stand my AE 9 through 101 completely adjustable aluminum strut kind of like what the Honda guys have been using for years everything lines up looks like I could bolt these right to the Prius the top plate bolt spacing may be different I can't I'm not really positive I forgot to flip it over and stand it up to the bolt but I think Corolla and Prius will be the same I just forgot to measure that because it's not a real problem if it doesn't but even the height of the strut the connection of the torque strut that goes to the sway bar and all of that is there and almost in the exact same places within millimeters these are a pair of cheap aluminum and steel fully adjustable struts that I bought for $2.99 off eBay for a complete set of four I never got around to mounting them on my AE101 which my daughter wound up with so no need for adjustable struts I did take some pictures but a lot of trouble to post here so if anybody wants to see I guess I could send them somewhere but it looks like they'll bolt right up when I disassemble this Prius I'll bolt them up to one of the holes real quickly just to see if they'll go in the spot but the spring is really tiny and the whole assembly is a maximum of 4 in diameter versus the strut with the spring from the Prius with the spring on it the diameter balloons out to almost 8 in

It's really confusing the way you write without punctuation and paragraphs. I know I'm way more patient than others on here at trying to translate what you're saying, but just to be clear I only made it 1/2 way through this and gave up. Don't you want to be able to effectively communicate with us? I mean, why take the time to write all the details if so many people say they can't read it? Why not spend just a tiny bit more time editing & proofreading?

I just did the priusoffroad kit on my car with wheels and tires. Now second guessing it. Not too crazy about the look. Might be selling the lift kit and the wheels and tires. All has less than 100 miles on it.

not sure if we can private message on this forum (haven’t figured out how to do it while on my iPhone) but if you know how, shoot me a PM if you’re interested.

Not having fully adjustable coilovers on the car where I could raise it pretty quickly anytime I wanted to like on the weekend that would be something and it looks like some I have here could easily fit I just need to figure out what the spring rate is on the Prius it's not what it is on the Corolla

The look. The ride quality, handling, and everything is really nice. I always thought they looked cool online but when I installed everything I looked at it and thought “eh”. Im going to leave it on to see if it grows on me unless someone wants to buy everything.

how tall are you trying to go? and what are you trying to do with the lift? 20220423_102124.jpg

if you want to take your Prius off the pavement, you get the PriusOverlanding kit...
