I've fitted the cruise control stick to my Toyota Fielder 2013 and the cruise control isn't working - I see there is no wire on pin 22 on plug G58 on my ECU. So I'll need to hookup a wire like the Rostra guide (which is written for the prius C) (PDF attached below). I've got a wiring kit coming in the mail. My question is, can anyone confirm this is compatible with the 2013 Fielder? It runs the 1NZ-FXE engine, same as the Prius C, so if it's like the prius C, I should be able to insert the cable on pin 22 on connector G58 (see page 6). Surely the connector is the same and correct? What if I get it wrong? How robust are these ECU's? Can anyone confirm this? Thanks.
Well, I just went ahead and hooked er up as per above, double checked all pins are fully inserted and it doesn't work. Took it up to 60kmph to test, (37mph) but won't work.
Blue wire is for cruise control stick B+ve Black wire is for ST1 comes from brake switch B+ve and your cruise control is starting working from 40km per speed. And there is no ignition coming in speedometer but you enjoy your cruise control and 100% working...
Mirza, thank you! I've since scoured the internet far and wide, many YouTube videos, and started browsing japanese websites with the aid of Google translate. I wasn't able to find the information I needed. Two guys claimed to have the info, but wanted me to pay 150USD to have it and I said no. Thank you, I will try this out later and report back. Cheers!
Anyone know where to get an extra pin for the ECU brake connection? Can't find them anywhere except in whole cruise control kits and I'd rather not purchase the whole kit just for the pin.
Hey - sorry to dig up an old post but did you ever get this working? I have a 2015 Fielder, I have the cruise stalk connected to the ECU and the voltages look good but nothing happens when I try to engage the cruise. My kit didn't come with any other wires but from reading other sites apparently, there needs to be a wire from the brake switch to the ECU. My break switch has 5 wires... Paul
