Cannot get codes to display

    2012 Prius base. One morning went out to find "Check Hybrid System. Park In a Safe Place". I have 3 code readers including one that does Toyota info. The readers will power up but not communicate with car. I have owned the car for 8 months and did head gasket in February and ABS Brake actuator assembly was just changed. All fuses are good and I changed the 12v battery and ECM and still can't get codes. Any help before towing 250 kms to dealer?

    Disconnect the 12v for a few minutes and see how long it takes for problem to come back.
