This is one of the better deals I have seen for Fumoto -- 15 percent off -- not that it is that much of a savings, since the valves are relatively inexpensive.... Happy Fathers Day from Fumoto! Starting today take 15% off your order with code: FATHERSYAY This offer ends at midnight on Father's Day 2022 https://www.fumotousa.com My dad had them on all the cars as far back as I can remember and never had an issue. Indeed, he put them on my first two cars. I love them. It makes an oil change possible without tools -- depending on who put the filter on and how tight. I don't need any, but for those who might...Oh, I don't know what is meant by midnight. Since FumotoUSA is in California....I might assume.... kris
Which usually results in getting oil on yourself, or on the ground. You can attach a hose to these valves to avoid that.
Air ratchet on an extension with a socket that doesn't let go of the bolt is way easier and cleaner than not remembering where your dirty oily hose has wandered off to...
Though I do like to save, for various reasons I avoid Amazon...search reasons to avoid....The dirty oil drain hose stays with the dirty "draintainer."
DONE. Didn't really find anything....BUT....that's probably a different topic, for a different thread, perhaps in a different forum. I have Fumotos on my cars and I LOVE them. When I change oil, I attach a hose to the valve, and it drains straight into a milk jug. I fill one jug, close the valve, then drain into the second. NO DRAIN PAN CLEAN UP.
I drain the oil directly into the container I take down the trail, pour at Mr. Lube's recycled oil tank, take it home. Never need to clean it out; no oil contam'd containers left at the recyclers.
Here is another type oil drain valve I will probably buy next time I change oil. ValvoMax Oil Drain System The Future of Oil Changes - New Invention - YouTube Our little PHEV sits close enough to the ground that it is impossible to get a large ratchet bar on the drain plug without jacking up the vehicle and taking off the wheel. This would eliminate that necessity and probably make the whole job quicker, cleaner and safer. The Company is Veteran owned and the system is made in America.
