    Hi all,

Has anyone successfully put a kill switch on a gen 1 plug-in? I've got a 2012 plug-in that I need to put a kill switch on (moving to a *very* high theft area) and I've read through a lot of threads, but none specifically for a plug-in model.

This thread suggests using starter kill in conjunction with an alarm, which seems like a good idea, though I couldn't quite follow all the technical details.

This thread suggests isolating the brake pedal switch with a killswitch, so the car couldn't go into ready until the killswitch is closed.

Neither of these were for a plug-in model, and I don't know that either of these were actually implemented or successful.

Anyone have any success stories or suggestions? Thanks!

Does it really make much sense for a modern car with an immobiliser? If they really want it they're either going to break into your home and steal the keys, or just put it on a flatbed.

you can use the same technique from any gen 3 if you can find one, they are all the same.
