I just past the two year mark on this wonderful car. This year a did a lot of road trips with her. I am an avid water skier since childhood but did not ski for 20 years. Last summer I went back to it and when skiing stopped in Mass, I started to travel to Florida. Sometimes flew. I started to drive in December stayed for 2 weeks. Drove down in February but 1st stopped in Charlotte NC for work (drove for 3 days all over Charlotte) I made it to the Orlando area on 1 tank of gas 537 miles. Took a day trip to Fort Lauderdale. The car was originally purchased there and lived there for 3 years. Drove to Fort Lauderdale in April then to Orlando area. Stayed for 12 days. I have a scanner and periodically run Dr Prius to make sure battery is ok. I also keep up with general maintenance. I have now concerns driving distances with this car. On a side note, on my last trip I did an oil change right before I left for Florida. 12 days later, I did an oil change at the local dealorship. They have 20.00 specials. I had drove it 3k miles. They looked at the history file ad said u just did one 2 weeks ago!!! lol
Periodically I run Dr Prius to see what the battery percentage is and I think its at 69%. My gas millage is up right now i'm at 51.3 avg. Last oil change at the Fl dealership, I had a discussion about how long the batter can go. They said it was in great shape probably due to all the driving I do. The cars like to be driven.
