Went from two cars to one - Traded in a 2016 Rav4 and 2017 Prius Three Touring for a Coastal Gray 2022 Venza. Beautiful car! I'll provide some updates as time marches on...
It really is a nice vehicle. I saw the current gen in Japan in 2019 and hoped it would make its way here. Little did I know, Toyota already had plans in place!
Yes, they brought it back for the 2021 model year and all trim levels are hybrid using the same 2.5l engine (A25A-FXS 1) as the current RAV4 Hybrid.
Congrats. There's one that either lives or frequently visits two blocks from us. I'm hoping to see the owner/s sometime to see what they think. Not that I want or need anything that big, but it looks nice. @bisco here's part of the answer to your question from https://www.fueleconomy.gov/feg/PowerSearch.do?action=alts&path=3&year=2022&vtype=Hybrid&srchtyp=yearAfv&rowLimit=50&pageno=1
Interior is just a bit smaller than the RAV4, and the cargo area as well. It works out just fine for us, and although I'll miss the 50-60 mpg from my 2017 Prius, 40 mpg for this size vehicle ain't too shabby... Inventory is sparse, since they are all coming from Japan, but we lucked out. While we were waiting for our preference to show up, the buyers for another one that landed backed out. We took a look at it, gave it the old test drive, and signed the papers! Best part was getting $44,500 for our two trade ins. Wrote a check for the balance and drove it home. Actual price was ~2K over MSRP, but that's the lay of the land right now.
