I know there was an old thread on this, but there is new technology and products out now since then (2015). I wanted to get some ideas of DRLs on a Gen 2. We've got an '09 Pkg 5 with the HIDs and fog lights (not auto). Been driving around all the time with the headlights on, but I don't want to burn up the HIDs.
Have you seen the thread about using the webelectric DRL module and your parking lights? Since you have foglights, you can use a wiring relay to wire your foglights to be On whenever your car is in Ready Mode to use them as DRLs. Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
I saw them on their website, but not in a thread. I wasn't sure what is needed and how easy it is to install either. Their website didn't tell me much. I am interested though, if you have more info...
