That's our plan, too, other than wanting the Ioniq 5 rather than the EV6 (Although EV6 is way quicker to type LOL!). We'll keep the regular Prius for long road trips because of the bigger cargo area. Plus it only has about 23k miles on it while the Prime has over 62k.

I drove my Prime to the local Tesla sales and service area, played with a Y 7-seater, and arranged for a test drive middle of next week of a MY LR, 19" Gemini wheel model (if available). And... if the prices don't go up another few thousand dollars by then which could kill the deal. I figure I have a 50/50 chance of that happening. Or 60/40, since its been a couple weeks since the last increase. :cautious:

Apologies that it's taking a while to write the EV6 report.

But on the plus side, I managed to get two coats of Turtle Wax Hybrid Solutions Ceramic Spray. My tin of Mothers carnuba paste wax is done and thought I'd try something different. The car didn't seem to have a good coat of wax at delivery (the hood didn't really have water beading but the doors did). Given that this spray works on glass and plastic, I coated the windows (except windshield) and moonroof with the spray to hopefully mimic the water-repellent nature of the glass that my Prime had. ($62k and no water-repellent windows! or one-touch windows for all windows!)

NICE! Did you get AWD model? I am seriously thinking ID.4 as a top choice now, after finding out the bZ4X and Solterra price and range. It is the most bang (EV range) for the buck BEV. The problem is that I can't find any to order and if I do, they are marked up so high that it is no longer the least cost/EV range BEV.

Nice, congrats!! Statement and Gradient Package too!

My parkade neighbour bought a ID.4 too. (previous owner of that stall had a Model S but they moved out).

Yeah the ID.4 is very well priced and I think worth the money. Wait til later this year or early 2023 when the Chattanooga plant opens up, then there should be more volume (all else being equal... and assuming nothing else comes to disrupt the supply chain).

It is a Pro S AWD with the Gradient package. I think it is the best value despite the fact the sticker price was $51k. I got lucky because I placed an order in January and I bought it from a canceled order in March for MSRP.

Thank you!! It’s a wonderful car. I’m getting an average of 3.1mi/kWh. That’s a pretty good number considering it’s an AWD with almost 300hp and almost 5000 pounds!!!

RTO means more highway driving. Reinstalled the wheel covers. I have the center caps on the wheels already and did not want to remove the wheels to remove them. Squeeze the tabs (or one at a time) on the Toyota emblem toward the center and remove. Wheel cover may still rub on the center cap. I replaced the emblem with Oracal 651 vinyl (outdoor, permanent) cut into circles using a Cricut machine.

Immediately noticed less road/wind noise vs. the day before I reinstalled the wheel covers. I think the wheel covers makes re-gen and brake cooling more efficient. Can’t say about MPG gains, if any yet.

Nice, I did not know you can remove the Toyota emblem part off the wheel cover. I have never removed the wheel cover from my PP, but I just ordered the center cap for the alloy wheels. I don't mind the wheel cover look. In fact, I don't particularly like the look of the OEM alloy wheel underneath. But, the wheel cover made unscrewing the valve cap so difficult, that I wanted to try removing the wheel cover. But, if the wheel cover makes the car drive quieter and maybe more efficient, I may just keep it on.
