Did Toyota provide a mechanism to determine how many miles on the Prius Prime was accomplished using the engine vs the battery? Example: Car has 20,000 miles on the odometer, but I use the car mostly around town - using battery power. So my car, using the 20,000 mile example, may have 19,000 miles using the battery and only 1,000 using the engine. Is there some software in the car that can tell me that? Thanks in advance.
One of the screens shows the percentage of miles that are EV. By "EV" is simply means that the ICE was not running regardless of whether you put it in EV mode or if the ICE just shut off. So, for example, if you have 10,000 total miles on the car and that screen says 60% when you have the odometer selected on your trip meter, then you drove 6,000 miles with the ICE off. It will give the percentage for trip A, trip B, and the current trip also.
It is on the Drive Monitor corresponding to ODO . If you have not reset the data then the EV ratio is for the entire ODO mileage. Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
I have noticed the hour meter is not accurate. It must reset every so many hours. Does the EV percent also reset with the hour meter?
Nither the hour meter nor the EV ratio reset by itself unless you reset it. The hour meter cycles after reaching 99:59 and then back to 00:00. It can not display larger than 99:59. So, for a very long period monitored under ODO, the hour meter is useless.
