Recently, I reset the time on the panel (it doesn't synch with the info system) and after about 30 minutes managed to. I also wiped the display in the image, and despite multiple attempts to get it back, I am unable to. Is there a simple -reset- other than initialisation which from a read doesn't do what I want? It's the most useful screen and what was showing when we bought the car. And that manual.........over engineering in writing. 2019 Plug-in in New Zealand.
The image didn't post. It's a graph with a curved display showing a larger version of the HUD plus other stuff. Despite my profile I have a '19 Plugin.
Assuming the NZ models have the same control as the US models, all you have to do is to toggle the wheel button to switch between different info screens to show on the MID. You need to select "i" by right left button nad then select Hybrid System Indicator (HSI) by the up down button.
Sounds to me like your describing the Default Screen called the Hybrid System Indicator. This thread has a lot of the Toyota USA Prius HowTo's Toyota USA - How To Videos | PriusChat and this youtube in particular taken from that thread, may help you sort the issue of getting your screen back
7, but that's not the display I am referring to. It's the multifunction display at the top of teh dashboard.
the 7 inch display is the (MFD) Multi Functional Display. The screens you're referring to are called the (MID) Multi Informational Display. The screens of the MID are controlled with the buttons on the right side of the steering wheel. Let us know what screen you're seeing and it should be easier for us to understand why you can't get back to the default screen, if just turning the car off than back on again doesn't bring up the default (Hybrid System Indicator) screen.. youtu.be/df22q_SgGkg The Hybrid System Indicator screen only shows up when the Prime is shifted into D(rive) R(everse) or B(regenerative Brake). It looks different when the Prime is in P(ark)
