I bought 2016 prius hybrid few days ago. But I dont know hybrid battery type whether Li-ion or Nimh. How can I check it??
Not sure about NZ models - all Australian were NiMH. This is from USA source - but not sure if it's universal:
Welcome and congratulations!! That depends on the trim level. In the US, in 2016, trim 2 is NiMH, trim 2 ECO and higher are lithium. NZ may be very different. There should be PDF brochures available online.

Check for ZVW50 (NiMH) or ZVW51 (lithium) inside the drivers door where your VIN, Paint code, manufacture date is located. .
