Same here. I have 2017 Advanced Prime and nothing shows on my app. No mileage, no battery, etc....only shows manual and my next service dates and a few useless things but nothing on vehicle status. I did call Toyota and the agent said I need to pay for these features. The Entune app worked perfectly without monthly subscription. When purchased, the window sticker states "Entune App Suite" included - seems wrong to take something away when it was to be included with car purchase. Hope someone starts a class action suit against Toyota.

I do pay and they took away functionality.

Concerning the old Entune app, are you talking about the "standard" entune apps (media stuff) or the special Prime apps (charge management, remote climate, vehicle locator, etc). The Prime Apps worked only on the Advanced, and required a Safety Connect subscription to activate the cell phone in the car. Only the Advanced had the SafetyConnect cell phone. Things are different in newer models.

Looks like there is another issue with the Toyota app.

I think you are WAY over the limit. It would make more sense if the unit is Kpa.

Just checked mine , and it says there a tech difficulties with the tire pressure

Here is image of Entune app from 2017. With Prius Prime Advanced model, I was able to set charging schedule, set climate before driving, get notifications via email when car was fully charged or was disrupted mid-charge and a few other functions. This was without paying a monthly fee. I don't recall tire pressure being in the old Entune app.

The "Toyota" app always used to be slow, and the latest and preceding Android versions are not working at all, with the app hanging at start.

What you need for the Prime Apps is a SafetyConnect subscription. On my 2017, a three year complimentary subscription came with the car. I renewed in in 2020 for another three years. There is no monthly fee. At one time there was a fee for the ordinary Entune apps (Pandora and such), but that went away a long time ago.

Combining the media Entune apps (which run on the screen in the car being fed Internet data from the Entune app running on your smartphone) and the Advanced Telematics apps (charge management, vehicle locator, etc, which run entirely on the smartphone, which talks to a server which talks to the built-in SafetyConnect cell phone in the car) was just plain confusing. Two entirely unrelated things. The original function of SafetyConnect was to be the Toyota version of GM OnStar, which provides automatic dispatch of aid in the case of an accident.

When you say "Prime Apps" are you referring to the Toyota App? When I contacted Toyota, they wanted a monthly fee of
$8 for SafetyConnect. So you are getting your SafetyConnect without a monthly fee?

The "Prime Apps" are the Entune telematics apps, such as charge management and remote climate, that depend on the Safety Connect cell phone in the car to transmit the info to a Toyota server. Strictly speaking, Safety Connect is the accident assistance functionality (the SOS button), but the Prime Apps use the same hardware. The Entune app suite included two distinct sets of applications: media apps, such as Pandora, that ran on the car display with assistance from the user's smartphone, and for the Prius Prime Advanced only, there was another set of applications that ran on the Entune smartphone app, called the Prime Apps. This was all reorganized in newer models, the Entune App was discontinued, and everything is now part of the Toyota App. Safety Connect is now generally available across many Toyota models as part of Remote Connect, which provides all sorts of things like remote lock/unlock, remote start, tire pressure, in addition to the old Prime-specific functions such as charge management. Safety Connect is available as either a monthly or annual subscription. I got the annual subscription after my 3 year complimentary subscription expired.

  14. Absolute most significant frustration that I already contacted Toyota about months ago that still isn't fixed:

    estimated time to finish charging

    Really, guys?

I get estimated time to complete charging on my 2021 XLE in the US (android phone).

I also get a failed download error for the Entune app on my car's big screen every now and again. I wish it would stop.

Finally the tire pressures are being shown accurately again. It’s the only thing I really use the app for.

Also, I would GLADLY pay $8 a month to be able to control charging and climate and all the other goodies you guys got with the Advanced trim. It doesn’t make much sense to me why Toyota wouldn’t just give all the Prime trims the feature the Advanced has - the software is already there is it not? Marketing strategy? I.E. - “Wifey let’s spend $2500 extra so we can get all these cool features on our phones.”

Help, where is TP found in the app? This is our third Prime (Premium, Limited, and Limited) but never found tire pressure in the app.

Fwiw, what Limited/Premium really means, is that Toyota also removed stuff (which is available on other models).
So, No Tire Pressure For You!
Similar with Android Auto - No Android Auto For You!

Iirc, the tire pressure is displayed only on the Prime LE models, not the LXE, nor Limited models.
    :-P

Btw, if you call up, and get a yearly subscription for Safety Connect now, you lock in the $80/year rate.
Toyota also charges you $80 right there and then, and then adds a year subscription after your "3 year Trail".

    For me, it's worth it.
The front/rear defrost may work in the remote start. I haven't tried yet.
I do know that, when I tried, the inside temperature climate control was always set to 65/68(whatever), and never to the other temperature options shown for the inside temperature setting.
It's also worth knowing when my car is charged at work. I'll know that I can disconnect and move my car. We have very few charging spots at work. So, many of us, if possible, try to move the car during lunch, or a quick break. Thankfully, now, I'm often near the garage, and not in a much farther away building.

    Have a Limited?
    Then, No Soup For You!

  19. Ah, wait... it seems that the newest update finally fixed that (meaning, brought back a feature that was previously available), yippie! :)

So bizarre. I get the tire pressure one but not much else besides mileage. No charging status. Think it shows the amount of regular gasoline in the tank. Yet you guys who paid more don’t get tire pressure. Makes no sense.
