    Slow order processing and poor vendor response is not theft in any legal sense. I don't believe you have yet crossed any legal boundaries between the two.

    But you do need to be getting and keeping your ducks in a row as such boundaries loom.

    Numerous other complainants here have had their orders received and/or issues resolved without any legal process, just not in the prompt fashion nearly all of us have come to expect.

    Next time, use credit. It gives you more leverage and recourse and time to deal with any problem.

    I would call the debit card bank and seek resolution there. It is far better to use a credit card than a debit. So much better that it would be worth your time to get one for any and all card purchases because of the improved protections. Even if a prepaid credit card account is your only option. But use a major bank.

    We are conditioned to good purchase communication, immediate tracking and two day delivery options. This was not common when the Priuschat store opened and is not the paradigm here. You can usually find the same Prius accessories elsewhere that come with a better price and modern customer expectations.

    Priuschat has issues although you are more likely to get the right answer here rather than other sources short of an experienced hybrid mechanic. However there are plenty of conflicting opinions and some are just plain wrong. Moderation is slow and often ineffective as well, which, if revised, could improve some of the information. Even an honest mistake can not be corrected by the author after 24 hours further complicating decision making when conflicting advice is present.

    You don't have to give this site, or most sites, any ad revenue. I quit giving ad revenue to most sites long ago due to malware delivery and home bandwidth issues.

    Well, the charge is no longer listed. Looks like it was a pending charge that did not post.

    People say that things eventually work out after months. That makes me hesitant to order somewhere else. Is he going to charge my card and ship the product to me 6 months from now after I've already ordered from somewhere else? If he'd communicate with me I could find out but he just ignores me for weeks:-(

    Contact your debit card issuer and tell them to cancel your current card and have them issue a new debit card with a different number. Same thing you would do if the card was lost. If you can also get a credit card do so at the same time. Even if it is prepaid.

    Send Priuschat an email indicating you are cancelling.

    Setup a Paypal account with the credit card. Use Paypal online as much as possible, otherwise use the credit card. Never use the debit card for online purchases.

    yes, good suggestion. I've been considering canceling the card. Frankly, if he'd just send the product and charge the agreed upon price that'd be simplest for everyone and he could even make some money!
