Toyota Prius ranks highest among drivers How much do you like the car you drive? Would you buy the same car again? When the Consumer Reports National Research Center asked that question, for the third straight year, owners of the Toyota Prius were the most satisfied, with 92% saying they'd buy the fuel-efficient hybrid sedan again. Seems like a flawed ranking to me. Cars that did well were specialty cars with some uniqueness. Cars that did bad were more main stream vehicles for which the lower rankings could be due to there being lots of similar choices.
Not flawed at all - they ask for people's preferences and people obviously are saying they like specialty cars with uniqueness! <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(tomdeimos @ Nov 11 2006, 12:17 PM) </div> Mike
The Top Two were the Prius and Corvette....both with class leading fuel-economy...I'm sure that's the reason.

There's some interesting stuff in there, like how much Detroit sucks at building cars: Of the 45 vehicles highest rated, 8 were Detroit iron, of the 31 lowest rated, 26 were domestic. Pretty sad.
That is really funny. When people ask me about my Prius it is nearly always "So, how do you like your Prius?" I generally reply, "well, so far it is tied for 1st place in my best car ever owned category." They then ask; "Well whats it tied with?" Me; "My 2000 C5 Corvette that ran 12.50@111mph nearly stock and got 30mpg"
