I think 16” wheels look almost perfect. 15” just a little small IMO. Have been looking

Also question: do the stock wheel covers REALLY make that much of a difference? It can’t be THAT MUCH….

Wheels are 17X 7.5 Vision Bane -38 offset with 3mm hub centric spacers. Weight is very close to the 15 inch OEM wheel combo.

Tires are Continental True Contact Tour 225 /50 R17 94T SL.

Added Toyota sticker center caps to make it look more OEM.

    I absolutely love the setup. Drives like a dream and amazing mpg⛽⚡ 20220216_171350.jpg 20220223_091120.jpg VideoCapture_20220216-174200.jpg 20220301_074750.jpg 20220228_074602.jpg

Just using an online tire calculator, the rev's per mile:

    195/65R15: 808 (stock size)
    225/50R17: 780

That's going to throw your odometer off by about 3.5%.

Sad that with all the great wheels and the major improvement in looks and handling as to why Toyota chose the ugliest wheels ever hidden behind an even uglier hubcap. Really? Other countries the Prime has stock alloys that look good. We get the garbage.

My Previous Prii (Gen 3s), I used the FRS wheels with 3mm spacers to clear the brakes. About a 3mpg hit, but handling was far better, as was ride quality and obviously looks.

I believe there is one 4th gen level with decent 15" stock rims (finished, stylish appearance, no plastic cover) (in the States), but yeah: why not make that the standard? And the "bare" 17" rim has plastic inserts: take those out and it's not very nice looking.

Hi folks, we have purchased our new 2022 Prius Prime in September 2021, replacing our old Corolla S 2009. We installed winter tires (Bridgestone Blizzak WS-90) on the OEM mags and eventually sold the Ecopia tires. A few weeks ago, we got the new upgrade mags and tires installed. Oh boy, what a difference in steering response, handling and not to mention the increase speed in cornering. Obviously this is not a sports car, however the car feels totally different and much improved.

    BEFORE:
OEM mags and Bridgestone Blizzak WS-90 195/65R15: total weight per wheel: 37.2 lbs (when mounted with Bridgestone Ecopia tires):

    AFTER:
ENKEI xM-6 gloss black 17”x7.5, offset 45 and Continental ExtremeContact DWS06 Plus 215/45R17: total weight: 39.6 lbs. Each set is 2.4 lbs more compared to the OEM set-up.

P.S.: I have also posted this on the "Aftermarket Wheel Fitment Guidelines" thread since it's relevant in that post as well. :)
