If that works for you, then you are a few of the lucky people who still have the ability to initiate the PM on this platform. I don't know what proportion of the members of this site is affected, but many including OP and me and many others have lost that functionality. It is not a web browser issue. It is not a personal setting issue. It is definitely API level platform coding issue that affects some but not all the members of the platform.
Being a moderator on two forums I am aware that attachments and PM privileges come at or after 10 posts. It definitely does not explain a Senior Member such as @Salamander_King losing the privilige. Having been around the block so to speak I do know some forums do cap the number of PMs you have. These are two possibilities I would guess. You just hit the magic 10 posts. Try one more post for good measure and check again... REVVL V+ 5G ?
That's the thing. It still works for some members, but not for all. I use to be able to initiate PM from my account. But Now I can't. It has been that way well over a year now. Here is what happens when I click on the "Start a Conversation" Same as what is shown on the top of this thread by OP. It always results in "Page Not Found". It does not matter what browser I use, or what OS I use I tried on Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Safari, Brave, Opera, Chromium, using Windows, Mac, Android, iPhone, ChromeBook, Linux, makes no difference. Cach and cookies wiped clean, clean slate installation of browser or OS, log-out and log-in again, changing the personal setting, none of them helped. The behavior is the same even if I use PriusChat Android App which uses a completely different API than the browsers. So, this problem is not due to operator error, but a back-end problem on the server, but it is not site-wide problem. It only affects some members not everyone.
I'll repeat one possible concern and bring up a new one. I have a total of 34 conversations. I'll assume the limit is 50 unless I somehow pass 50 at some time. I have no ad blockers and see ads including pop ups.
I only have a total of 29 message threads in my inbox. Just checked the "Start a Conversation" with AdBlock paused. No change. I still get "Page Not Found" but with annoying ads...
Just curious, when you click on my "Start a Conversation" and link to the PM page, what URL does it show? Clicking on your "Start a Conversation" link, I end up with the "Page Not Found", and it has the following URL. https://priuschat.com/posts/3233895/conversation?to=jzchen

Every link will only lead me to "Page Not Found" when I click them. But for members who can initiate a PM leads to a valid PM page. This means the URL is fine, but somehow member-specific restriction is preventing me and others to reach the correct page.
I clicked on @Salamander_King link from Chrome on Android 11. Pop up immediately comes up. Afterwards there is a quote of the post, included in the PM page. Hmmm....
Yep, it's still broken for me. I can not get to the PM page no matter what. In fact, I just tried to create a different log-in credential but that account also did not give me PM privilege. Although it is possible that the privilege was suppressed until I post a certain number of comments.
Hi Salamander King, I’ve been trying to PM you for past few hours. I am guessing I don’t have enough posts to send a PM.
PM function is broken on this platform. I can't initiate a new PM either. It has been this way for a year or maybe longer, and it affect some members not all.
