Where did you purchase your Prius? Did you have a good experience with your dealer? How long was your wait? Thanks -
Toyota Center, Columbia, SC. 'Good' experience will do. 10/28/03 to 1/3/04... Although, next time I will look at the group the post was made in, to be more on-topic...
Where did u get it Got mine at University Toyota in West Virginia, they had it in stock only waited 2 days till they got it to me. Fairly good experience.

Bill Page Toyota in Falls Church, VA. Good experience - ordered 10/03, got it 02/04. no charging over the sticker and no pressure to take the extras.
I had originally placed an order at Koons Tysons Toyota. Heard from another priuschat member that one was coming into Danville Toyota and jumped on it. I have to give Danville Toyota (in Danville Toyota) a big thumbs up for outstanding service, MSRP. Koons is another story. I felt like that place was a circus. I have heard recently (although my salesman calling and asking me if I was still in the market for a prius leads me to believe it is true) that they are selling them for $4K over MSRP.
Bought mine at Palmiero Toyota in Meadville.PA. Ordered my car and had it in 2 weeks last October after many phone calls by the good people there to find me just what I wanted. I've only had it back for the SC-40 reprogram - nothing has gone wrong in 17,000 miles. They have an excellent reputation in this area and I have to agree.
Darcars Toyota in Silver spring.....talk to Otis Herring.....I lucked out and was able to get a "leftover" Prius immediately......
I bought mine from Andy Hoffman at Uebelhor & Sons Toyota in Jasper, IN. See this topic for the gory details. http://priuschat.com/forums/viewtopic.php?...2498&highlight=
Mine came from Fitzgerald Toyota in Gaithersburg, MD. Straight A's all across the board for the deal, follow up and service
Both the '02 and the '04 were purchased at Glen Burnie Toyota--one of the Brown's Cars dealerships. So far we have been happy with the purchasing experience and the service department. They didn't have the '02 we wanted and we were going to have to wait for an '03 but they found it at Antwerpen.
Miller Toyota, Manassas VA. MSRP. 2nd largest Toyota dealer in VA and has high monthly allocation of Prius due to demand for commuter/Rt 66 cars.
I traded up from a 1991 Honda Accord EX. The Honda had over 170K miles and was needing a little more maintenance. My commute is now 40 miles each way so I was starting to get concerned with gas mileage. My wife read about the Prius and although we had owned our cars outright for over 6 years, and I tend to fixate on paying for new toys when they are not an absolute necessity, she insisted that I buy the Prius for myself (g*d I love her!) We looked all over the Baltimore / DC region in late November 2003 and was told that it would easily be a 4 to 6 month wait for the car. On a lark I called a dealership in West Virginia (Miller Apple Valley) who said, "these new Priuses don't sell that well up here, we sell a lot of trucks though!" I told him that I wanted a Prius and he said that he had one coming in in 2 weeks and that it was mine at sticker if I wanted it. Although he was happy with a verbal agreement, we immediately drove to Martinsburg that night with a check to hold the car. In came in the second week in December. I can't believe how lucky I was. Right after we bought ours, the dealer started advertizing in the Washington DC papers (about 80 miles away) and now he has the same backlog as everyone else. Randalla and KathyY, I have a question for each of you. I live near frederick, Maryland and work near Glen Burnie. I have had work done on the prius at Koons in Westminster and Darcars in Frederick. Neither impressed me. I am actually holding up doing the fuel TSP due to my perception of their lack of caring. Do you really like Fitzgerald Toyota in Gaithersburg and Glen Burnie Toyota? If so can you give me a little testamonial why? Neither would be a huge inconvenience to travel (Gaithersburg when i am home and Glen burnie when at the office.) I hate to bug you, but I'm eagerly awaiting your response.
I placed an order for a Silver BC in March with Tysons Toyota. I was 125 on the list. I became impatient during month 2 and went looking for dealerships out in the country and was put on the waiting list for several dealerships. The one that finally came through for me was Ramey Toyota in Princeton WV. They didn't require a deposit , sold it a MSRP and threw in the $300 rebate as well. I picked it up in July and took it across the street to my father-in-law's house and he promptly fell in love with it and went back across the street to place his order. He just received it (in a much shorter amount of time than most???) and is giddy, just like the rest of us. I have noticed that many Prius owners in the Washington area have gone into Wild, Wonderful, West Virginia to get their Prius.
Koons Toyota, Tysons Corner VA. MSRP plus $289 processing fee, tax, tags. No hassel, Ordered July with $500 refundable deposit, Delivered 30 Oct. Excellent experience, Jason Perry salesperson very knowledgable and conscientious. Mike 05 Silver BC 215 miles (53.5 mpg)
