Bought my daughter a 2005 prius last year. Her first car.
Everything worked great for the first 8 months. Then she started having issues with the key fob not unlocking/locking doors. I replaced the key fob battery, and tried using the other fob with limited success.
Now it is completely dead. Car still runs when fob is inserted. But must lock and unlock doors manually with key.
    Mostly just a inconvenience.

Charge 12v battery... Also there's a button under the steering wheel to turn SKS on or off.

I have a similar deal. My first prius, the sks ( auto unlock ect) worked perfectly and I absolutely looooved that feature. When I bought my next prius, it also came with the sks system but it simply didn't work, iv put 50k miles on it and no part of the sks system functions at all, the button doesn't change anything and I havnt been able to find much of any information.
