I have prius 4-door year 2016. Heard there are quite a lot of catalytic converter theft out there and plan to install a anti-theft bar onto the flooring. I took a pic of it but don't know the components enough to do the job. Afraid that might damage the car. Please help identify number 1, 2, 3 from the pic. I plan to install a so-called "reinforcement brace" across from the 2 nut (number 3) to the other side. Please advise. THANKS
The theft isn't from Gen 4. Professional thieves anyway. It's the Gen 2 and 3. Gen 4, has 2 Cats - one is out of sight and almost engine-out. The other small one isn't worth stealing. Unless it's an opportunistic amateur - but I think in 5½ years of reading Prius Chat - there has been only ONE Gen 4 theft mentioned. I'd not worry.
