So I recently purchased and tried to install an aftermarket head unit for my 2010 Prius, and I got every wire in the right place, except I can't seem to figure out where the backup camera wires connect to the harness. Does anyone know how to do this?
The head unit was a Sony XAV-AX1000, but all I need to figure out is where the backup camera wires connect with the pins on the harness.
If my notes on the 2010 original 7" nav unit hold, the camera connections originally were pins 21 through 24 of the L37 connector, with 22 being + power (red), 23 − power (black), 24 the composite video signal (white), and 21 being a shield over the other three.
Apparently there is an additional harness that is required, specifically for the backup camera. So I ordered one and will see if that solves the issue.
Which harness did you end up getting? I'm going to be wiring up my Atoto S8 this weekend (hopefully) and I was just going to try to do waht you originally suggested and basically make my own harness
