On the second set of hatch struts, and I have to say, they are absolute junk (OEM). If it is cold out at all, I have to manually lift the hatch open, but if it's warm, they will rise on their own, albeit very slowly. Even when the car was brand new, they sucked, and the replacements are the same.
Has anyone gone with a different brand that were actually good? My wife's car (2017 Rogue) is awesome. Super easy to close the hatch, but the hatch opens very quickly.

I have a recommendation the other way round: do not buy StrongArms /
they work for a month or two & after that they are worse than the ones you threw away....

There's a company that specialises in struts that are high quality and a low price and an inventory for every size... Hopefully someone will come along and post a link to them? OR perhaps google "priuschat strut replace" and find the link for us?

Something I guess I'll have to look into my 10 and my 13 and my 09 so far so good even in the cold I am imagine with all that's available now if I really wanted to I could even put auto up and down things they're so cheap now things that work my bed up and down cost $29 a motor just to get an idea and that's lifting 800 lb of people sometimes possibly

You can search for the OEM struts, or aftermarket ones close to your oem strut specifications.

Then you can use those parameters to search for struts that have greater "lifting force" but will be compatible with the other parameters necessary to fit your application.

I believe I ordered from this company when I sourced shorter struts to keep the hatch from hitting the garage roof when opened.
