My 2008 Prius has the stock HID headlight housing (passenger side part number: 81145-47170). I’m not crazy about HID so I wanted to know if I can simply replace it with the stock halogen headlight housing (passenger side part number: 81130-47160). I know there are conversion kits out there but my headlight housings are faded and yellow anyway so I’d rather just replace them.
Even if you could, I’m pretty sure you’d have to change both sides or it’d throw a code on the shutter control. Been looking to replace mine for a long time. Can’t find a mechanic to do it. Prefer LEDs.
