    Hi.
I'm new here. We have a 2010 Prius with almost 200,000 miles on it.
Last week I got a P0301 Cylinder 1 Misfire. Everything seems to be fine, slight vibration/hesitation at slow speeds (sometimes) and the fuel economy is still at 45mpg.
This morning it showed a P0302 Cylinder 2 Misfire.
People have said it's a gasket failure but heating is working fine, coolant is still full as it's supposed to be. Got spark plugs etc replaced over a 1500 miles ago.
Any idea what could be the issue?

the hg often starts with such a small leak, coolant isn't noticeable.
you could do a leak down test, but at 200k, there are just so many possibilities.
counterfeit plugs, bad coil, injector, dirty throttle body.
and of course, the grande prize, clogged egr circuit

Since we have had it, we take it to the Toyota Dealership for everything.
I know if I take it there the amount quoted will be more than I paid for the car itself.

Oh another thing I checked on today, the oil was low. I don't see an oil leak on the garage floor.

very common in a 200k engine, check it more often.

i have to say, if you are dependent on the dealer for everything, you would be wise to sell it now, before something really expensive breaks, if you can afford a newer vehicle.

I live in a small town and the mechanics here are a bit apprehensive about hybrids.

I'm thinking of trying Bar's Head Gasket Repair.
Or take it to someone who will be willing to do a EGR clean up.

Check the pipe where spark plugs go into. It might have gunk, oily, wet as well as coils, so needs to be cleaned & dried. This situation might happen if plugs are not tightened enough and gas leaks upside. To my experience, this happens only in cold season since gas evaporates easily in warmer seasons. Consider counterfeit thing, too

So I took the car to the Toyota dealership as no one else in my city was willing to work on the car.

They diagnosed it as a gasket issue and quoted $2883 for the job.
As I didn't have any other option I went for it and just got my car back today.

So far it's running fine but there is a slight vibration upon accelerating or when I take my foot off the gas pedal at around 45-65 mph.

The price you paid for the gasket was actually not bad at all. I just got mine done as well, and have also found some additional vibration like you mentioned. Anyone know what this could be?

Go back to the dealership and let them know.
You paid for it to run correctly, and it's not.

that sounds like what i had . wen gasket started to go . a slight hesitation between engine and electric transition is what it felt to me..or adding gas or pedal .. studder
