so.. I've had many setbacks in this endeavor. so far the three avenues..
main mt everest is ecu tuning and the solution is at my finger tips!

Please send good vibes for its success. i know someone will try and follow up on the below with why it wont work, when I say MANY smart Prius people have assisted me in getting this far. that said we understand the why it wont and are on the how to make it aside from the road blocks.

    1. hope filling or something can be done to stock 1.8 so that it can handle a 2.0.bore( #2 and #3 are too thin currently.)
    2. install a complete 2.0L (there is more to this but it would be running the stock Prius ECU)
    3. Install 2.0L block with 1.8 Prius all else (again on stock Prius ECU)

the above is asie from ecu tuning, trying to work with the Prius ECU whle we get into the ECU.
right now the work involved to put the 2.4 or 2.5 Gas/Hybrid engine in it a larger than mt everest task, however, the rear axle of gen 4 prius in my gen 3 with the rear motor of the rav 4 is a dream I hope works in the near future. That along with gen 4 awd rear motor from rav 4 swap.

I'm giving away too much they said...

    stay tuned!

Would swapping a newer electric drivetrain be the way for more power on the Prius? I'm sure we can snatch something from a Lexus LS500h or something similar. Who cares about HP when you got the sweet torque.

Checked an email from a little bird and yes, the prototype is bored from 1.8 to 1.9 with different pistons.

I dont just make stuff up but you are free to think what you want.

And what else did they change? Simply boring out the engine from 1.8 to 1.9 on its own won't do much if the ECU isn't modified to match it.
They have dyno results available to show the difference or is it just "the car has better take off" a.k.a. anecdotal evidence which doesn't tell anything.

It will probably have the same effect as the red bullet. I haven't seen a single dyno report which shows a significant reproducible positive effect of one. Especially not for a comparison of a new red bullet vs a new OEM solenoid.

You must be a victim of the vaccine and it is having a bad effect on your ability to process information.

I guess I made all this up and the email from them.

But hey...if YOU say it can not be done then hey I guess you are right and I am wrong, I should tell Hybrid Pit, hey this is not gonna work so remove the new pistons and throw the engine away already, this has beed thought of and can not be done at all.

not sure why Im just seeing this but I am working through this on my car now. that's the rear awd subframe from a ux250h and I found a 135hp electric motor that's can bus controllable. Now I just need a Prius Prime Battery or Rav4 Prime battery to replace my lower voltage HV battery
