On Jan 10, Alabama and Georgia will meet again to decide who is the biggest dog. But Bowl games have become many, and today, Rose Bowl had a nice one. Surely one can say with 93 points closely scored, that both defensive lines under performed. But this is what viewers and advertisers agree on wanting. Ohio State prevailed over Utah by 3, but through most minutes the outcome was in doubt. Fun. Probably neither Rose Bowl team could touch Alabama or Georgia, but bowl proliferation reminds us that more than 100 colleges deem this bashing as good to support, and more than 10 in any year do it very well. So yeah, Alabama and Georgia, bash away, but let not the under layment be ignored.
Rose Bowl was a fun watch. As soon as the Utah QB went out I thought they were done. What I'm seeing now is an endemic: going for it on 4th down. Already in the Sugar Bowl there have been 4 attempts at 4th down where the offense has gone for it. And two times it has been when they have been in field goal range. But having football on everyday of the week is nice around the holidays.
