Saw this ad on Kijiji in Toronto. Looks like a gen ii Prius, but how is there a charging outlet in the rear bumper?
There were some aftermarket add on kits to turn the Prius into a plug in. Others can add in what companies etc. Or may be some DIY that stood the test of time long enough to sell
Yeah marvy but no matter where how I charge that battery what's it going to do for me go 5 mi whatever it is I mean if I going to put that plug back there I'm going to take up most of the back seat area with a battery like a electric car might do then I would need that charging port and what have you so I'm assuming if you turn it into a plug-in then you must up the battery capacity or it seems kind of pointless like the volt goes one of the many way 15 miles and then you're running a generator and regular ice engine not sure what the point of that was if I can make it go 19 miles why not just make it go a hundred SM-A715F ?
It just says plug in, doesn’t say why. Great Canadian marketing technique. Maybe it powers the dome light too.
