hello guys, I bought my prius 2017 2 months ago, yesterday while I was filling the washer fluid I noticed missing "plastic screw" between the engine and the air filter (attached). I'm wondering if its suppose to be like that? thanks in advance.
Not sure what that fitting is as it's way back in there. I probed with a bright light and a small mirror and it looks like some sort of shock absorbing point. There is a rubber bushing in between the top visible piece with a hole in it (drainage?) that is attached to the ICE air filter box and a support structure attached to the intake manifold. No screw noted.
I don’t think anything is missing: The Repair Manual (more info) doesn’t show a fastener being removed there. Instead, the two bolts that hold the air cleaner case sub-assembly to its bracket are removed from inside, at the bottom. Parts catalog Figure 17-03, Air Cleaner, shows a grommet, part name code 17710B, but no other fasteners at that location.
Yep I just got my light out and checked mine...looks the same...that's part of our teeny tiny air filter container. Good eye!!
