Prius Not fully Charging

    Hello Members,

    Of late my prius prime is not charging fully. Earlier i used to get a range of 50KM in EV mode, Recently it has dropped to 45KM.

    Has anyone observed this behavior? Is there something I could do or i need to take it to the shop?

    Any Suggestions are welcome

    How long have you had your Prime? Have you had it over the winter before?

    What you describe can be considered perfectly normal as the weather gets colder outside.

    It is charging fully. It's just that EV range naturally gets reduced during colder months. I usually get a ~50% reduction on the EV range between summer to winter.

    Since we are talking about the HV battery I have an issue that seems to have started this last month. Once a week, I will get in the car and my HV bars will only be 2 high. The HV battery will quickly fully charge and stay there for another 6 or 7 days, then the same thing repeats. The weather has been cooler (32 degrees at night, 60 degrees daytime). My car is over 7 years old. Is this common for a Prius as the HV battery's life starts to wane?
