I've owned my 2018 PP a little over a month. I've noticed that when completely charged, my gauge shows this (see photo). Am I actually getting over the 25 mile range on battery? Thanks!
The prime starts with generic expectation, but as it learns your style, the range may go up or down. This may be a ideal time of year for MPG in FL.
As commented already, it is an estimate based on your recent EV driving behaviors. You may or may not be getting the actual EV range. It is certainly possible, but the estimate is usually more optimistic than the actual. To analyze it deeper, If you have not reset the EV efficiency data since you purchased the car, looking from the DM2 EV efficiency showing only 3.6miles/kWh, you must have been driving the EV mode much more efficiently than the previous owner. Your monthly eco diary should show the increase in EV efficiency (miles/kWh) before and after your purchase. To get 34miles on GOM (Guess-o-Meter), you would have to be driving EV mode ~5miles/kWh or higher for a while. Here is my monthly Eco diary showing a decrease in the "Average miles/kWh" as the weather got colder. The GoM on my DM2 was showing ~37miles and I was able to get ~35 miles of actual EV range during summer. But now it shows ~30miles without heat or a measly ~26miles with heat, but in actuality, I can really get only ~22miles of EV range with heat now.
