Consider a floor-style bicycle pump? They're not difficult to use, no (electrical) power needed, and goes suprprising fast. I've even brought totally flat (just plug-repaired) tires back up to pressure, no problem. This is what I picked up about a year back, working well. Price is in CDN dollars:
