Does anyone have a Diagram or know how the GEN 3 cooling (engine)system works ?

    long short story.

1)I had the blown head gasket symptoms at 175K
2)added stop leak equivalent directly to the water reservoir
3)after about 15,000 miles the water pump stopped working
4)when I removed it, it was clogged.
    5) With the new one it ran for 2000 more miles when
    6) A weird noise started coming from the section around the water pump
7)a whining noise, it was loud it Eventually stopped but soft wine existed.
8)The water pump was making a lot of noise and it sounded like no water was ln.
    9) I replace the water pump. But it did exactly the same thing like the old one.
10)thinking it could have been the thermostat which is right next to the water pump I replace it next.
    11) The thermostat had lots of residue on it ,didn’t seem to have water go through for a while.BUT it looks like it could still work not stuck open.
    12) with the new thermostat installed the the water pump still did the same whine.
13)I believe no water is going into the pump.. .

The next thing I can think is that the radiator is bad or there is a clog somewhere in the motor , or somehow the fluid is at a standstill and not warming up somewhere which is not letting the thermostat open to suck in water ..but I’m not too sure. I don’t really know how anything works and would be grateful if somebody had the diagram or Explained
    how it everything works.

if anybody can help it’ll be wonderful

I hate to offer an absurdly simple thought. You may have an air bubble in the hose between the radiator and the thermostat. Have you tried squeezing that hose a few times to get rid of any air bubbles there?

That would be the hose marked 16572D in the illustrations above.

I wonder what would prevent a bubble in that hose from being drawn into the water inlet, pumped through the block and head, and returned to the degas bottle through 16281 and 16264D?

    Thanks everyone for the help.

I couldn't see clearly the picture of the first diagram but the hose is on that picture.

The top inlet of the Reservoir was totally clogged.
That hose then connects to a 2 way spitter right before the radiator. That was clogged as well.

And when I say clogged I am referring to stop leak /equivalent residue.

But it's all go so far. Thanks again!

Stop leak is the WORST thing you can do to a cooling system.
It always plugs up the small passages....

Did you flush out your sytem with white videger?

Glory be, well that would interfere with burping some.
