RPF1 Wheel offset? +35 or +45? 215 or 225 tire?

I have a 2015 Prius 4 and I'm going to be needing some new tires soon. The previous owner did a good amount of curb rash on the stock wheels so I'm looking into getting new wheels and tires.

I've decided to go with 18" rpf1 (17s just look to small) and I will eventually be lowering the car on either TRD springs or coilovers.

My question is, what is the best offset for 18x8 wheels?

I've talked with a few shops. Some say go +45 and some say +35. Both say the other either wont look good or wont fit without rubbing.

Will a +35 rub the fenders?

I've also heard only 215/40-18 will fit but I've also heard 225/40-18 will also fit. Which is best?

Any pictures of your setup (rpf1 or not) would be greatly appreciated!!

    17x8 (I know it’s not 18) +45 on 225/45 tires.

Thank you! Beautiful car! Love the color combo! Having the +45, do you think +35 will be too aggressive and stick out too far on the front?

The rears I have a 5mm spacer. I think the +35 would look good. The fronts may be a bit aggressive for me but you could always pull the fronts.

bump. How would a 17*7 +42 fit? Would they be pushed inside the fender pretty far?

I have a 2012 Prius v which in the process of getting the RPF1 17x8 35 offset but now that im reading this thread im wondering if I should change the offset to +45… looking to achieve that flush not tucked look. The tire size will be 225/45/17 Mich, what do you guys think? I know the 35 might need some fender pulling/ rolling.. decisions, decisions…

Running 18x8 +40 front and rear with a rear 5mm spacer currently. So rear is +35… check out @Areaonephotography on insta he is running +35 all around. Idk if he had to pull the front. Tires I’m running are 225/40/18 here is the clearance. Lowered on tein coils AA68857E-98CA-4033-BD33-4A68A14955E6.jpeg

thank you very much for the pics and info, I pulled the trigger on 18x8 +35 and it fits close to flush, actually i looked and im very sure one can fit 18x9 all around with +35 offset and it would definetly be very flushed... as of now with my set up to get that exact flush stance in the front i would need a 15mm spacer and the back a 12mm spacer, but over all i love how my V looks. next waiting on my coilovers to arrive so i can dial in the stance very well and with an alignment ill be sure to post pics
