Well hello.... that's really interesting. I can't think of any old Fords I'd like to do this with, but I hope it inspires a few other automakers to do something similar.

If they have more drive trains than battery packs, I think is a great way to get more EVs on the road.
Meanwhile, GM is offering the ZZ632, a 632 cubic inch, 1004 hp @ 6600 rpm on pump gas, crate motor. Seems that these two companies bases are diametrically opposed.
Except GM started offering EV crate motors and supporting equipment, and not just excess supply from an EV product, several years ago. GM might be setting themselves up to be an EV supplier to other car companies.

Interesting. Honda has done something similar before. They needed an SUV in a hurry so they borrowed one (Rodeo) from Isuzu. Eventually Honda started making their own SUVs.
The original Taurus SHO engine was from Yamaha. Plenty of cross pollination to be seen when you start digging.
