Hello. I'm having the Prius Offroad spacers installed this week. I can't my Gen 2 out of the alleyway when it snows because of clearance so I am pulling that trigger. I'd like to gain whatever additional height I can with a wheel and tire combo and I am a little lost. I've got stock wheels and tires on now, 185/65/r15s. Can anyone recommend a wheel size (15" vs 16") and a snow tire size that will give me a little additional clearance while maintaining decent mpg and ride? Thank you!
This post is a month old, but no replies, maybe OP is still debating tire selection. Prius Off Road recommends 27" maximum outside tire diameter, which equates to 215/70R15 with stock wheels. Two popular choices are the Yokohama Geolandar for mazimum off road performance, or the Yokohama Avid Ascent for good MPG and all around good performance including light snow.
Is your Prius lifted? ? Any impact on your mileage? How's the ride quality? I need to convince myself about the lift kit before I decide on what wheel and tire package to purchase.
I’ve had my 2013 Prius lifted for almost a year and ~40k miles. The lift has negligible effect on MPG. Stock I was getting 50-51mpg. With the lift I was getting about the same. The larger tires cause speedometer error, so the gauge will read about 4mpg lower than what I’m actually getting. I tested by using Google maps for miles driven and fill-up for fuel used. Then the tires reduce the mpg another 2-3. So my gauge typically reads 44-45 mpg, For me it’s well worth the smoother ride, no scraping on speed bumps or driveways, and confidence driving in snow and dirt roads. I used to feel like my Prius could only drive on smooth dry pavement. Now I can drive it like a normal car in all weather and occasional dirt roads.
Apologies. I hadn't seen replies within a month of posting so abandoned the thread. It IS lifted, 1.5" spacers from Prius Offroad. Ride quality is excellent. No change. Mileage is the same. In fact, mileage was actually 2 mpg better than previous but that could have been season, road condition, etc.
I still haven't gotten taller tires but only have 15" rims. I'm actually getting tires tomorrow so need to decide.

Do you have a lift on it. I want to lift 1.5 and rin 215/75/15 Ko2s but have not seen if there will be rubbing issues.
