Safe to run air compressor that connects to the battery?

    I have a VIAIR 88P air compressor I used to use with my jeep wrangler. I was wondering if its safe to run off the Prius 12v battery. It connects directly to the battery using the positive and negative terminals and seems to draw a fair amount of amps.

    Will running this off my battery cause any issues and is the battery big enough to support the draw from the compressor? I always leave my vehicle running when I'm using it if that matters.
