    You’re welcome.

I knew that parts.toyota.com has a version of the parts catalog for Prius v cars built for sale in the U.S., and that even if your car is a Canadian model, the hole plugs and other basic parts of the body would almost certainly be the same. (There doesn’t appear to be an equivalent website for Canada, by the way; Toyota Canada’s parts page isn’t very helpful.)

From the parts.toyota.com home page, I clicked HYBRIDS & FCV, PRIUS V, 2012, BASE (the only choice), and 2012 TOYOTA PRIUS V BASE HYBRID PARTS. I selected the most likely category, BODY AND INTERIOR, and the figure of interest, HOLE PLUG. I clicked View More Images and View Fullsize, selected the last image (570549J), with the chart of all the hole plugs, noticed that item ⑨ was the only oblong style, and made a note of the part number. I then selected the second image (570602H) and confirmed that there was a ⑨ callout on a frame member that fit your photo and description. Thanks for posting the photo; that was helpful.

I entered the part number in the Keywords, part numbers or VIN search box, checked that it hadn’t been superseded to a different part number (not unusual for small parts used on many models), and posted my findings for you and for later readers.

Dealership was supposed to put plugs in those holes during the Pre-Delivery inspection. I think if you drop buy a dealership, they'll know what you need. In particular if you bought the car new from them: they owe you those for free.

My take is these oval holes are for locking the car in position, either at the factory or during transport. That's why the plugs need to be installed during PDI.

That zone makes a great place to place jack stands, btw.

I just wanted to say thanks and after 13 years my car now has the caps installed lol. Thanks for solving the mystery of the bag of covers.
