<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(NVBB Productions @ Oct 19 2006, 04:03 PM) </div> Callin all of us owners, then never callin us ever again. I feel so used.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(bigdaddy @ Oct 28 2006, 07:30 AM) </div> Sorry, I posted this on the wrong thread. I got a postcard for toyota.com/hybrids inviting owners to a new "community". Most of us can't get in because of the awful website design. I don't know if Saachi and Saachi have anything to do with that.
Saachi and Saachi are not part of website design for Toyota. They are the companies main advertising agency.
OK. I admit that I have been absent for a while. I haven't even updated my signature. (sorry) But I log in tonight to express my jump starting experience with all of you and I get two immediate e-mails asking me if I want to join this ad campaign by Oct 26th.. What is going on here? Danny??? Dr. John??? Have we been spoofed?
graz, are you on the west coast? apparently we east coasters have no chance. hey ad guys, how about you specify west coast prius owners next time so the rest of us don't waste our time? of course, i should have figured as much...
wow, paranoia will destroy ya. too bad i saw this too late, i would have volunteered to brag about my Prius for FREE, (heck...do it every day anyway)
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(uclabruins @ Nov 1 2006, 03:00 PM) </div> Yup, they seem excited about me. At last somebody cares about me. I feel wanted. Apparently they're interested in my car due to the upholstery which is tie-dyed leather. So 40 years ago.
We were supposed to send a picture? I filled out the form online and I don't remember anything about a photo requirement. Just got an e-mail from Sev from San Diego Prius Club and it says to submit the form and a photo. Well..... I've got a picture of the dog.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Godiva @ Nov 1 2006, 10:21 PM) </div> Ooops. I see my mistake. There's nothing on the form that asks for a picture. I didn't read the original post carefully enough to see they wanted a picture. Of me? Of the car? Of the dog? Ah, well. Artie will represent San Diego well. Maybe Sev can give them some pics from the Prius Club San Diego activities when we've lined up our cars for photos.
I PMed Matt and he said they ARE looking for east coast owners as well and to send in the form which I did on monday....... nothing ventured, nothing gained!
well maybe they don't want toyota employees then. too bad for them, DH's opinion finalizes quite a few prius sales around here.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(artie @ Nov 1 2006, 05:59 PM) </div> So they are looking for people who customized their Prius???
welll since its a tv add and im sure they know what a Prius looks like, i would guess the photo would be to see how you might look on camera. whether you fit the predetermined potential prideful Prius owner wannabe stereotypical new car buyer
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Actual Mileage @ Nov 2 2006, 03:32 PM) </div> A new car?
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Stev0 @ Nov 4 2006, 09:56 AM) </div> Why do you ask?
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(FireEngineer @ Oct 21 2006, 08:54 AM) </div> Sorry for the delay in responding to this sensible question. Unfortunately, TMS USA was not aware of this intent to solicit Prius enthusiasts via PriusChat. That doesn't mean the notice was not legit or that TMS USA does not endorse the approach. This is authentic--as I think you may have seen in a subsequent post from Saatchi, our ad agency. The strategy for this creative approach comes from Toyota's marketing department. And I think it is a great idea--particularly for this unique vehicle. Why not have some of the most loyal and passionate car owners in the industry tell the Prius story to others. . . Yes, it's advertising, but it is also an extension of sorts of consumer-driven media, just like PriusChat. Who knows . . . if you make it on to a Prius spot, could Hollywood be far behind??
