I had the unfortunate issue of getting my seats deep cleaned which got water inside the computer under the passenger seat.. I reverse engineered the board except one spot near the main chip. if anybody has one laying around or have pictures of the both sides of the board that would be epic.. AISIN 89952 47040 E
yes no maybe so? I've got 90% of it done, I need R11 resister value and the back side trace picture and I should be set!
Glad you're getting it figured out...my Prius are Gen 4 so not sure my wiring underneath the seats are the same. FWIW, I heard Auto Zone owns the Tech Stream system and will print out wiring diagrams for you if you give them your vehicle info.
I wish they did detailed diagrams, I would be back up and running.. some gen 4s had the same computer and a bunch of other models over a huge year range..
This thread seems to be turning into a study of how many PriusChat members have taken their passenger seats apart and photographed the innards of their occupant detection ECUs.
Engine bay detailing has its share of horror stories; interior detailing is rife with such tales. Take-away: keep detailing “professionals” the hell away, from both zones.
yep, this was a smoker car that was infested with cockroaches and things that make you go blahhhhhh... women are absolutely disgusting with their cars.. unfortunately this one was used as a mobile bar and drill.. dual driverside airbags were very impressive...
she liked to drink and see how far the seats went back after stalking her prey or prey (multiple).. I needed eye bleach and some Jesus after doing a total restoration..
I don't think I've ever known quite so much about the former owner of any of my vehicles. Let's say there were arm's-length transactions involved. I did have one where you could tell the former owner was a heavy smoker.
The one I bought with the smoke, I bought in late spring or early summer. Used one of those works-with-a-shop-vac water extraction gizmos on all the upholstery until the water stopped coming out gray, then pretty much drove everywhere with all windows down all summer and as far into the fall as it was warm enough to do. By the end of that treatment, you would never have guessed it had been smoked in.
In my case, I bought an ozone generator (had to get it off of Craigslist because they don't sell them on California any more), and let it run all night. I thought 2 treatments was enough, but a hot day revived the odor. 1 more treatment, and it's been good since.
hence why I left California. I have a commercial ozone machine and a commercial steam extractor for the upholstery. the worst part was doing the carpet and padding and head liner. the amount of constant tar color that kept coming and coming and coming was just disturbing..
