Hello everyone. I have a 2013 version 4 and I'm having a problem with my car. The consumption display is showing i'm getting around 30-40 MPG around town. It does have 212K miles. I changed the spark plugs, and air filter and cabin filter today. I also cleaned the EGR pipe with carb\brake cleaner. I don't know what's going on, but I'm worried. Is it the big battery? Is it the intake manifold\EGR valve? Any ideas??
i would clean the whole egr circuit, but that probably isn't the problem. has anything changed with your driving or the car like short trips or new tires? how is the 12v health? what mpg are you used to seeing? best to keep track of mpg by the tankful, and not the consumption screen
How is it running and idling, is it running rough, idle shaky? Is it misfiring? That's a big loss in mpg, you'd think you're only running on 3 cylinders to get that kind of fuel economy. Maybe your brakes are dragging/is there an anchor chained to your bumper that you are not aware of? Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
