Will these wheels fit on a 2015 Prius Plugin?

The lug pattern is 5 x 100.

 

You can pretty much put any Gen 2 through 4 Prius hatchback OEM wheel on your Prime.

The only exceptions are the Prius c and the Prius v. They have different bolt patterns.

Additionally, you can put aftermarket or OEM wheels from other manufacturers/models as long as they have a 5x100 bolt pattern and an offset between +40-55 or thereabouts.

Here's our 2011 Prius on Subaru wheels with the OEM TPMS sensors moved over. 16 x 6.5 rims, 5x100 bolt pattern and +55mm offset.

And our 2014 Corolla on aftermarket Enkei wheels with the OEM TPMS sensors moved to the wheels, 16 x 7, 5x100 bolt pattern, and +40mm offset.

Note: the wheels would be interchangeable between our two cars as far as fitment.

Backspace or offset is designated as ET.

Thread size on wheel studs/lugnuts are 12mm x 1.5 pitch.

the oem forged wheels are very light, very high quality.
AFTERMARKET wheels are generally not forged , but similarly priced and heavier.
aftermarket forged are extremely expensive.

if you don't mind the extra weight and lost economy, you can pick up some Subaru brz/frs wheels fairly cheap and they look much much better, but cost in fuel economy and require 3mm spacers to fit.

 

If you can score a set of the original PIP rims that’d be my vote. They’re a nice looking rim.

 

FYI, regarding the 3mm spacers referred to above to fit BRZ/FRS/FT86 wheels. The thin spacers are only necessary on the rear wheels of the Prius, or the spokes make contact with the brake caliper holders. The Subaru wheels I put on the Prius clear the rear caliper holders by only about 1 or 1.5 mm, a little close for comfort, so I put a set of 3mm spacers on for peace of mind.

I didn't include the weights of the wheels shown in my post above, but weight was very much a concern when considering what to put on the cars.

The Enkei wheels are 16.9 lbs on our digital bathroom scale. The OEM steelies from the Corolla are 20.9 lbs on the same scale.

The 16 inch Subaru wheels are 16.7 lbs on the scale. The 15 inch OEM Prius alloy wheels are 15.7 lbs on the scale. I think one pound heavier for a +1 wheel size is pretty good.

I noticed an immediate difference in acceleration using my "butt dyno", on the Corolla. The 4 lb difference per wheel was noticeable.

As far as the Prius though, it wasn't really noticeable. Time will tell, as I do monitor mpg on our cars on Fuelly.

The Camry SE 17 inch wheels (not compatible with the Prius) are anchors at 25 lbs each on the bathroom scale.

3rd gen Prius 17" rims are only about a pound less, for another data point.

Are those 15" or 16" (if you know)? I have some older Corrolla 15" steel rims, and I've got a vague recollection they're around 16 pounds. Likely based on weighing a complete tire/rim assembly, then deducting the tire weight, which is not an exact process, especially with some tread wear.

 

The OEM steelies from our Corolla are 16s.

The 3rd Gen 17s are a bit "chubby". I had a set of Subaru Legacy GT wheels of similar design that were a shade under 21 lbs on the scale. The spokes were slimmer.

on my 2011 the inner spokes if the frs/brz rubbed the front and rear calipers.
