had a light accident so need some replacement of headlight, fender, and windshield. I m taking care of the fender, have Safelite for the windshield, but the headlight is the problem. It's one of the most expensive ones. https://parts.jordantoyota.com/oem-parts/toyota-composite-assembly-8114547221?c=Zz1lbGVjdHJpY2FsJnM9aGVhZGxhbXAtY29tcG9uZW50cyZsPTYzJm49QXNzZW1ibGllcyBQYWdlJmE9dG95b3RhJm89cHJpdXMmeT0yMDEwJnQ9YmFzZSZlPTEtOGwtbDQtZWxlY3RyaWMtZ2Fz

This is the cheapest OEM brand new one. I did look up eBay, salvage part stores, etc but this one is hard to find a reasonable one. An eBay seller asking 550 for a used one. If anyone helps me to find a used one, highly appreciated

That's the LED headlight, right? I'm in the same boat (Canadian Touring); just keep collision and comprehensive insurance, with lowish deductibles. The non-LED is cheaper and aftermarket options better, I gather?

It's a sandpounder though, when you consider you could (and likely still can) procure glass sealed beam headlights for about $20 a pop. That's for the rare vehicle that still uses them.

Headlamp for Toyota Prius 3 generation 01.2009 - 11.2011 - Toyota Car & Auto Spare Parts - Genuine Online Car Parts Catalogue - Amayama

^ Have a look at this page (LED headlights in lower/right pic); it may or may not be a bit cheaper for you. I'm seeing $571 CDN, and shipping cost not indicated. Where shipping is not shown (occurs occasionally), I've been assured if you commence a purchase you will get a shipping cost, before you have to commit.

I've purchased various small to medium articles through them, and so far only shipping charges on top of price, no duty or sales tax levied. If purchasing multiple items, it's likely best to do them all from one source (either UAE of Japan), to avoid double shipping charges.

Geesh: I see if needed, there's a computer or three for the headlight, and (for me) they're $200~500 CDN (approx) apiece, depending on what you need.

Yes, it's LED (I'd never seen this bright headlight so far so it makes sense why so expensive). I was gonna buy an after-market one but when I take a close look, this one is completely different than all other types. Thus, I guess it'll look awkward in terms of appearance and illumination if I put another type? I didn't include Collision due to its mileage, 253k

Found a used headlight assembly, everything is straight forward but the broken part in the pic. I ve no idea what it is, as you see, located underneath the headlight assembly

Yeah you can see the nozzle cover in your avatar. Have the same; have never needed to use, pretty much forgot about them.

We have headlight washers on one of our 2010s. The only time I've used it is by mistake. However, they might be good in the northern states when driving in wet brine (salt) covered roads. It would beat pulling over and washing the headlights with snow as we used to do when living in NH.

I think the reason was due to concerns the LED headlights were not hot enough to melt snow/ice.

My car is also a led headlight, just like yours, the brightness is very high, and the dividing line is quite obvious, but my car does not have the function of electric adjustment of the low beam height, although a body tilt sensor is found on the rear axle.

I suspect that means the adjusting system is not working; that tilt sensor isn't used for any other purpose that I know of.

I’ve never noticed the LED headlight levelling system “working” on ours, but I suspect it is.

Once in a long while I remove one of the bolts on the tilt sensor, work the joints through their full travel. I figure this verifies it’s not seized, and ensures it won’t be, by redistributing whatever grease is in the joints.

Ours is supposed to have the headlight leveling system, but I've never noticed whether it works or not. Perhaps that's because it is working. I think the headlights on this Prius provide the best illumination I've seen on any vehicle. Of course we don't have very new vehicles.

An aside: don't forget to unhook that tilt sensor when you change the rear shocks. Dropping the axle will overextend it.

Doing this should maybe in the maintenance schedule; there's been a few reports here, no attention paid to the levelling mechanism, it seized, and broke one of the links.

Can't believe this thing is 230 bucks, it's just plastic with a spring in it, my eBay one ($9) arrived, it's not actually fit but I carved it out to fit into the hole :D
