My 2016 Prius 4, Blizzard Pearl should be delivered any day. I plan the following mods:
    (1) Legally tint glass.
    (2) Paint or wrap the roof to black.
    (3) Change wheels / tires to 17" (or 18").

The Touring models are using 17" wheels and tires, so I assume that is not a problem.
Has anyone tried 18" and what was the experience and impact on MPG, etc.?

18" wheels? ... Lowering springs will also be needed as well, or your car will look like it's up on tippy toes. ;) :D

I had 18's on my Gen3. You will take a decent hit on mpg's and if you're worried about that, don't go that route. It fills the wheel well nicely though.

Sorry, No Prius. But on our 2013 Hyundai Elantra, i switched from 195x65x15 steel wheels & tires to nice 225x45x18" alloy wheels/tires. 18" wheels weren't even recommended. Just as sweet as you would want. Handling & cornering are better. The wider tread & bigger diameter wheels/tires haven't reduced MPG either. Oh, yeah! All 5 used wheels/tires (yes, I now have a spare in the truck) cost $110. Have gotten more compliments about our Elantra, too.
On our smaller Hyundai Accent, switching from 175x65x14 inch wheels/tires to 195x65x15 wheels/tires, lowered rpms by 300 on the highway, gave better cornering & handling, & RAISED MPG, a trace. Oh, yeah. Our homely Accent has gotten its first compliments, too.
