I have a 2005 Prius with 183K on it It needs a shop to address a problem with code p0aa6 including AC, Heater, and Defroster problems. The local dealer did not seem to understand and offered to change the inverter for $6000! I'm located in Columbus, Ohio and looking for how to find a good Prius mechanic. Thanks!
I don't know of a mechanic in your area, but first step is to visually look for signs of leaks from your battery pack by accessing your spare tire area, as well as pull up your rear seat cushion that's held in place with two clips in sockets near the front middle of both seats by pulling up on it. Also use your nose to see you smell a burning electrical scent in around you battery pack or in the inverter under the hood.
